Welcome to what I hope will be the best year yet for your child! Words cannot express how excited I am to meet and work with each of you. I hope that you will soon learn what a great passion I have for teaching and learning, as well as the strength of my commitment to be a part of your child’s winning team. I joined The ABC School family this summer, and I could not be more thrilled. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Ferris State University in Michigan, and a teaching certificate in Elementary Education and English grades 6-9 from University of West Florida. Inspiring young minds to reach their own potential has been a dream of mine for a long time, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to influence your child.
So who is this person to whom you are entrusting your most prized possession? I was born and raised in Michigan, and up until 5 years ago lived there with my family. After working in Education for 11.5 years, I decided to go back to school and get my certification. I have an incredibly supportive family and wonderful husband of twenty years, Bill, who encourage me every day to keep doing what I love. I have two sons, Ryan who is 18 and Kyle is 15. Most importantly, I wake up each day and do what I consider to be the most important job in the world! “I teach, therefore I touch the future.”
My door is always open, my phone is always on, and my email is always up. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact me. Your unique perspective as a parent is essential to help me know that I’m doing what is best for your child, in the classroom.
